Can children try Bridgewalking?
Yes. As long as the child is at least 140 cm tall and is accompanied by an adult.
Can seniors try Bridgewalking?
Yes. Everyone who is in a good physical shape can try Bridgewalking.
Can people with fear of heights try Bridgewalking?
If you have fear of heights, you should not try Bridgewalking. However, if you are just tense and a bit nervous, that’s okay. Our competent guides will most certainly help you ease up. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
Can pregnant women try Bridgewalking?
Yes. As long as they are not farther along than week 23.
Can I understand the guides?
We offer tours in English, Danish, and German.
From 1 March to 31 October, there are weekly tours in English and German (Please note the flag on the tour).
From 1 November to 30 April we are happy to arrange English and German tours for you. Please contact us directly in this period to request an English or German tour.
Can I take my camera or my mobile telephone on the walk?
For safety reasons it is not permitted to bring camera or phone on the bridge.
Can I take my sunglasses on the walk?
Yes, you can take your sunglasses, but make sure that they are secured with a “sunglasses string”. You can buy sunglasses string at the Welcome Centre.
Can I take my medicines with me?
You may not take any loose objects on the bridge. If you are in doubt about anything, do not hesitate to contact us.
What type of shoes should I have on?
Put on a pair of comfortable shoes – preferably shoes with rubber soles that fit your feet well.
Where can I store my personal effects while I am on the bridge?
Smaller items can be stored in our lockers. However, we will ask you to keep bags and rucksacks in your car.
How long does the walk take?
The walk, including safety instructions, takes approx. 2 hours.
Can I go to the toilet during the walk?
No. Unfortunately, this is not possible.
Where does the walk start?
Bridgewalking’s Welcome Centre is located at 2, Galsklintvej, DK-5500 Middelfart.
The walk both starts and ends at the Welcome Centre. We recommend that you come early.
What should I wear?
You will be given a pair of coveralls for the walk that you can take home with you as a memento.
Keep in mind that it blows quite a bit on the bridge. This is why we recommend that under the coveralls you wear comfortable clothes that are suitable for the respective season.
Will you let me know if the walk is cancelled?
If the walk is cancelled for one or another reason, we will let you know by SMS and e-mail. And we will naturally refund your ticket.
Is it more expensive to buy a ticket at the Welcome Centre than online?
No, the ticket price is the same at the Welcome Centre and online. We recommend, however, that you buy tickets online as we cannot guarantee that there are availiable tickets for the relevant tour when you reach the Welcome centre. See the prices here or go directly to our booking system.
